The Networking Laboratory focuses on the key elements of the next generation of mobile wireless networks: IP-based infrastructure, seamless security, and heterogeneous wireless access. These fundamental ingredients are required to support the innovative, profitable, value-added services that will increasingly be the foundation for DoCoMo’s long-term growth. Networking Laboratory researchers are developing novel architectures, protocols, algorithms and standards to establish this foundation. In critical areas we are working with NTT DoCoMo development departments to provide deep architecture, design, and analysis expertise and significant standards leadership. We are also collaborating with leading companies and universities to leverage synergies and multiply our mutual efforts towards these goals.
