“That's exciting.”
Always learning new things in new areas; working with people who have
either a different background or different expertise, conducting long-term
research, and then making it happen; - five to ten years ahead - here
at DoCoMo USA Labs. That's exciting.

“These are all very good places to exchange ideas.”
We have seminars inside our individual labs as well as the entire lab.
Whenever someone has some findings or has written papers or patents, he
or she gets valuable suggestions or critiques in these internal seminars.
We also invite people outside of our labs to attend these seminars. They
listen to our ideas and we listen to their comments. Recently, we restarted
the Internal Conference on Research Progress. These are all very good
places to exchange ideas.

“Hopefully, I will be able to realize some of those dreams here.”
I enjoy trying to discover new things, solving problems. I have dreams
about things I would like to achieve in technology and the sciences. Hopefully,
I will be able to realize some of those dreams here.

“I thought that the work I do here might really make a difference.
”
This company has the most advanced network in the world. They control
a network and handsets. So they really have a chance to influence security,
and they really have the power to set policies and set standards for security.
I thought that the work I do here might really make a difference.

“I’m very happy to be here at DoCoMo”
At DoCoMo Labs we get to think about what the world’s going to be
like not today, but maybe five or ten years from now, and we invent for
that world. I think that a lot of the next frontier work that’s
going to be done around here will happen because people talk to each other.
I think that’s one of the reasons DoCoMo’s going to do so
well because I think the bottom line is to bring all these divergent yet
symbiotically related areas and researcher scientists together. There
is a lot of synergy here at the lab and a vast number of opportunities
to make it happen together.
